PAMELA FERNANDEZ
My history starts back in the wonderful world of fashion. Spending years on that circuit, my face graced print media, television and runways; appearing in several top magazines, commercials and talk shows around the country and overseas.
My duties included supervising a team of people for promotions, events and fundraisers, productions; nationally and abroad. As a spokesperson I represented top executives and there companies to non-profit organizations around the country.
I came into the music scene as an exceptionally versatile singer, performing in some of the most prestigious venues in the nation including the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, the Brooklyn Academy of Performing Arts and the infamous Hollywood Palladium to name a few. Songwriting, Jingles and Voiceovers are also apart of my “lifes work”.
Residing in Chicago, I have a 8 piece band "Rhythm City" (www.rhythm-city.com) and its one of the midwest's best. With a repertoire spanning 4 decades of many genres, we bring energy and elegance to countless events and always keep a dance floor packed.
Being absent from clubland over the years I was unaware that an original acappella version from a classic house song I did several years ago, “Kickin in the Beat” was used on numerous re-workings, bootlegs and a vast array of compilations, making it an all time classic house track and making me one of the most sampled and recognizable voices in electronica/house music.
