The
Players
Before
founding the group in 1982, Conrad Black released his solo album,
toured the United States and Europe with blues vocalist Mighty Joe
Young, and performed on the Grammy-nominated Blues Deluxe
(Alligator). Conrad earned his Music Composition degree from
DePaul University, and serves on the Board of Directors of the DePaul
School of Music Alumni Association. He brings his vocals, funky guitar
and keyboards to the deep Rhythm City groove.
The
solid dance beat of
the Rhythm City sound is powered by the driving and innovative
duo of David King on the five string bass and Ty Von Jenef at the drums. Ty toured Europe at fourteen, earned
ensemble and individual musicianship awards in collegiate competition,
and has performed throughout the U.S. with rock, funk and fusion acts
such as guitarist Stanley Jordan. David's past experience includes
stints with Bo Diddley, Screamin' Jay Hawkins and tours throughout the
Carribean Islands.
